1. Overview
RepQ is developed and operated by NessaWorks ("we", "us", "our"). RepQ is built on a simple principle: your data belongs to you. The App operates entirely on your device. We do not operate servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure. We have no ability to access, view, or retrieve your personal information.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is created and stored locally on your iPhone:
- Profile information (fitness level, goals, schedule, equipment, areas of concern)
- Workout plans and exercise prescriptions
- Workout logs, sets, reps, and weight history
- Progression and performance tracking data
- App preferences and settings
This data is stored using on-device storage and Apple's Keychain. It is never transmitted off your device.
3. What We Do NOT Collect
RepQ does not collect, store, or transmit:
- Email addresses or account credentials
- Names, phone numbers, or contact information
- IP addresses or device identifiers
- Location data
- Usage analytics or behavioral data
- Crash reports or diagnostics
- Advertising identifiers
We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, tracking pixels, or data brokers. We have no servers to receive such data.
4. Apple HealthKit
If you grant permission, RepQ interacts with Apple HealthKit as follows:
Data Read: Resting heart rate, heart rate variability (HRV/SDNN), heart rate, respiratory rate, sleep analysis (duration and sleep stages including core, deep, and REM), body mass, height, biological sex, date of birth, active calories burned, exercise minutes, stand hours, and daily activity summaries. This data is used solely to personalize your workout readiness assessments, adjust workout intensity, and display health trends within the App.
Data Written: Workout sessions (including type, duration, and metadata), active energy burned, and heart rate samples recorded during workouts. This data is written to Apple Health so your activity rings and health records stay complete.
HealthKit data is handled in strict accordance with Apple's HealthKit guidelines:
- HealthKit data is never used for advertising or marketing purposes
- HealthKit data is never sold, shared with third parties, or transferred to any external service
- HealthKit data is never stored outside of Apple's HealthKit framework and on-device app storage
- HealthKit data is never transmitted to any external server
- You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings > Privacy & Security > Health > RepQ
5. Apple Watch
If you use the RepQ Apple Watch companion, workout data is transferred between your iPhone and Apple Watch using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This communication occurs directly between your paired devices and does not pass through any external server.
During workouts, live heart rate data from your Apple Watch may be used to display real-time metrics on your iPhone, including heart rate recovery indicators during rest periods. All heart rate data is processed and displayed on-device only and is never transmitted to any external server. You can enable or disable the rest period heart rate display in the App's settings.
6. Subscription Data
Your subscription is managed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. RepQ does not process, store, or have access to your payment information, billing address, or Apple ID credentials. Subscription status is verified locally on your device using Apple's StoreKit framework.
7. Data Deletion
Since all data resides on your device, you have full control:
- Use "Delete All Data" in Settings to erase your profile, plans, and workout history
- Use "Reset Workout Stats" in Settings to clear workout logs while keeping your profile
- Delete the App to remove all associated data
No data persists on any external server after deletion because no data was ever sent to one.
8. Data Backup & Transfer
Your RepQ data is included in standard iCloud or local device backups managed by Apple. If you restore a new device from a backup, your RepQ data will transfer with it. RepQ does not offer independent cloud sync or data export.
9. Children's Privacy
RepQ is not intended for use by anyone under the age of 16. You must be at least 16 years old to use the App. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that a user is under 16, their access to the App may be terminated.
10. On-Device Intelligent Features
Where supported by your device and enabled by you, RepQ may use Apple Intelligence and on-device machine learning to generate personalized coaching messages, form tips, workout briefings, and motivational content. All processing occurs entirely on your device using Apple's on-device models.
No personal data, health data, or workout information is sent to external servers or third parties for this processing. The content generated by these features is not stored or transmitted off your device.
11. Notifications & Live Activities
RepQ may send local notifications for workout reminders, weekly recaps, and timer alerts. These notifications are generated and delivered entirely on your device. No notification data is transmitted externally.
The App may display workout information on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island via Apple's Live Activities feature. A "Generic Lock Screen" option is available in the App's notification settings to hide workout details from the Lock Screen display for added privacy.
12. Voice Coaching
RepQ offers optional voice coaching that uses Apple's on-device text-to-speech to read workout cues aloud. Voice coaching is processed entirely on your device. No audio data or voice preferences are transmitted externally.
13. Third-Party Services
RepQ does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. The only external interactions are with Apple's own frameworks (StoreKit for subscriptions, HealthKit for health data, WatchConnectivity for Apple Watch, ActivityKit for Live Activities, AVFoundation for voice coaching). These are governed by Apple's own privacy policies.
14. State Privacy Rights
Residents of states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws, including California (CCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), and Connecticut (CTDPA), have specific rights regarding their personal information. These rights generally include:
- Right to Know: You may request disclosure of what personal information we collect, use, and share.
- Right to Delete: You may request deletion of your personal information.
- Right to Correct: You may request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Right to Portability: You may request a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Right to Opt-Out: You may opt out of the sale of personal information, targeted advertising, or profiling.
- Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any privacy rights.
Because RepQ operates entirely on your device and does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information with any third party, these rights are satisfied by design. You have full control of your data at all times through the App's Settings.

15. Data Retention
All data is stored locally on your device for as long as the App is installed and you choose to retain it. We do not maintain any external copies of your data. When you delete data through the App's settings or uninstall the App, that data is permanently removed from your device. Subscription status is managed by Apple and is subject to Apple's data retention policies.
16. Security & Breach Notification
Your data is protected by the security measures built into your device, including iOS data protection, encryption, and Apple's Keychain Services. Because RepQ does not transmit or store data on external servers, the risk of a remote data breach is eliminated by design.
In the unlikely event that a security vulnerability affecting locally stored app data is discovered, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected users through an app update and provide guidance on protective steps. You are responsible for maintaining the physical security of your device and keeping your iOS software up to date.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected in the App with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
